Cultivate these hybrid and basmati varieties of paddy, there will be more profit

In many areas farmers have started preparing the field for paddy cultivation. Many varieties of paddy are cultivated prominently in our country, including hybrid and basmati varieties. By cultivating hybrid varieties of paddy, 10 to 12 percent higher yield can be obtained than normal varieties. Whereas Basmati varieties are fragrant. Therefore, farmers cultivating hybrid and basmati varieties of paddy can earn more profit. Paddy hybrid varieties

  • Pioneer 29P38 : It is a late maturing variety. This variety is suitable for cultivation in high waterlogged areas. The shape of its grains is round and thick. This variety is tolerant to blight disease. It takes 145 to 150 days for the crop to become ready. Yield up to 38 quintals per acre of field.

  • Pioneer 25P31: This is one of the quicker varieties. Its grains are thin and tasty to eat. This type of crop is less prone to diseases. The crop is ready to ripen in 115 to 120 days. On cultivating per acre of land, 25 to 28 quintals of yield can be obtained.

  • Signet Buland 5050: This variety is less prone to fungal diseases. Apart from this, the risk of infestation of leaf wrappers and stem borer insects is also less. The height of the plants is 105 to 110 cm. The stems of plants are strong, so there is less risk of plants falling in strong winds. Its grains are elongated. It can be cultivated in almost all areas of the country. It takes 90 to 105 days to get ready for this variety of crop.

Basmati Varieties of Paddy

  • Pusa Basmati 1637: This variety is mainly cultivated in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana. For cultivation per acre of land, 6 kg of seed is required. Plants are of medium height. The earrings are long and attractive. The grains are long and hard. The variety matures to maturity in 135 to 140 days. If cultivated per acre of land, yield up to 25 quintals can be obtained.

  • Pusa Basmati 1509: This variety is suitable for cultivation in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana. Plants are short in length. As a result, the problem of falling feet is less. Its grains are long. It takes 115 to 120 days for the crop to mature and become ready. Yield from 20 to 22 quintals per acre of field.
