Improved varieties of green coriander

This season farmers can earn more profit by cultivating coriander rich in many nutrients. Many medicinal properties are found in both its leaves or grains. Before cultivating coriander rich in Vitamin C, it is necessary to know about the improved varieties. From here you can get information about some improved varieties of coriander.

  • GC 2 (Gujarat Coriander 2) : It is suitable variety for green leaves. Its leaves are dark green in color and grains are of medium size. It takes about 110 days for this variety to mature and become ready. A yield of about 6 quintals is obtained by cultivating per acre of land.

  • Hisar Fragrance: Plants of this variety are of medium height. Also its grains are of medium size. After 120 to 125 days of sowing, the crop is ready for maturity. The crop yields 7.5 to 8.4 quintals per acre of land.

  • RCR 41 : If you are cultivating coriander for leaves then this is one of the suitable varieties. The color of its flowers is pink and the grains are small. It takes 130 to 140 days for the crop to mature after sowing. About 8 quintals of crop is produced per acre of land.

  • Pant Haritma: This variety is suitable for both green leaves and grains. Its plants are of medium height and grains are round and medium in size. The crop is ready to ripen about 110 days after sowing. Yield of 6 to 8 quintals per acre of land.

Apart from this, many other varieties of coriander are also cultivated. In which varieties JD 1, CS 6, Simpo S 33, Kumbharaj, RCR 446, RCR 728, RCR 684, etc. are included.
