Bhabhutia disease: This disease is also known as powdery fungus disease. The outbreak of this disease is more during the summer season. White powder-like spots appear on the leaves of the plants affected by this disease. As the disease progresses, the leaves turn yellow and dry up and stunt the growth of the plants. To get rid of this disease, sprinkle 25 grams of countryside full stop in 15 liters of water.
Early blight disease: Small black spots appear on the leaves of plants affected by this disease. As the disease progresses, these spots start appearing like rings. To avoid this disease, remove the affected plants from the field and destroy them. Before sowing, apply 2 grams of Captan 75 w.p. per kg of seed. treat with. If symptoms of disease are seen in plants, apply 1 kg Mancozeb 75 WP per acre of field. Spray.
Cucumber Disease: This disease is also known as leaf twist disease and leaf carl. Apart from viruses, this disease is also caused by changes in weather along with insects like thrips and mites. In this disease the leaves start turning upwards or downwards. To avoid this disease, choose disease free certified seeds. Destroy the plants affected by the disease. In case of leaf curling due to thrips, apply 30 ml Trizophos 40 EC per liter of water. Mix and sprinkle. In case of leaves turning due to mite, spray 40 ml Properzit 57% per liter of water.
Stem rot disease: When this disease occurs, the stems adjacent to the ground surface become soft. After some time the stem of the plants starts rotting. As the disease progresses, the plants dry up and fall. To avoid this disease, make proper drainage system in chilli nursery. Before sowing treat seed with Carbendazim @ 1 gm per kg. Apart from this, sprinkle 2 grams captan per liter of water.
