Bend the corn slightly down to protect it from rainy weather or birds. 6. Using a thresher machine, separate the grains from the corn and, clean the seeds with air. 7. Remember - Maize grains should have 12% moisture for safe storage. Due to excess moisture, the grains are vulnerable to diseases and pests.
