Crop Loan: Take advantage of loan at zero interest rate

In our country, crops like paddy, millet, maize, tur, gram, groundnut, soybean, cotton, etc., are cultivated on a large scale in Kharif crops. Loan facility is being given to the farmers at zero interest rate for the purchase of fertilizers, seeds, etc. for the cultivation of these crops. These loans are made available to the farmers through cooperative societies. Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan government have also taken a big step to help the farmers.

Chhattisgarh government has started providing short term crop loan of Rs 5,300 crore for Kharif season crops. Under this scheme, more than 95 thousand farmers have availed crop loan of Rs 344 crore. Talking about the year 2020, last year more than 12 lakh farmers were provided crop loans.

The farmers of the state can also get crop loan from the cooperative bank of Rajasthan. Since April 1, 2021, crop loans worth Rs 971.88 crore have been given to about 3.17 lakh farmers. Farmers of Rajasthan can get crop loan till 31 August 2021 for cultivation of Kharif season crops. This year 3 lakh new farmers associated with the cooperative department will also be provided crop loans at zero percent interest.
