Fertilizer Management in Litchi
Lychee fruits are as attractive as they look, they are equally tasty and full of nutrients in the food. For good yield of litchi, use of manure and fertilizers in right quantity is necessary. From here you can get information on fertilizer management in litchi crop.

For the first 2 to 3 years, 30 kg of dung compost, 2 kg of karanj cake, 200 g of urea, 150 g of single super phosphate and 150 g of potash should be applied to each litchi plant every year for the first 2 to 3 years.

Apply half dose of fertilizer along with full quantity of manure in the month of July.

Use half the remaining fertilizers in the month of September.

Increase the amount of fertilizer as the plants grow.

Irrigation must be done after fertilizing.

Use of neem cake and compost manure increases the quality and yield of fruits.

Apply manure immediately after harvesting of fruits. This leads to good development of buds in the plants.

If the soil is acidic, add 10 to 15 kg of lime per tree at an interval of 3 years. This increases the yield of fruits.

In case of zinc deficiency, spray 150-200 gm zinc sulphate per plant.
