Fertilizer Management in Paddy Nursery

For paddy cultivation, the plants are first prepared in the nursery. There are many things to keep in mind while preparing the plants in the nursery. One of which is fertilizer management. Plants are healthy with the use of the right amount of fertilizer in the nursery. This increases the quality and yield of the crop. From this post you can get information about fertilizers and fertilizers for nursery.

  • Use more decomposed manure in the nursery.

  • Mix 7 to 8 kg of cow dung rotted manure per 10 sqm of land.

  • Mix 225 grams of urea, 500 grams of single super phosphate and 50 grams of zinc sulphate per 10 square meters of land.

  • About 500 to 600 grams of muriate of potash can also be sprayed in 100 square meter area.

  • When the color of the plants starts turning yellow in the nursery, prepare a solution by mixing 1 kg zinc sulphate and half a kg lime in 50 liters of water. Now spray this solution in the nursery. This will eliminate the problem of yellowing of the plants.

  • Plants also start turning yellow due to lack of nitrogen in the nursery. In such a situation, spray 15 to 30 grams of ammonium sulphate or 7 to 10 grams of urea per square meter of land.

  • Special attention should be paid to weed control in the nursery. Paddy plants become weak due to weeds.

  • Spray Pendimethalin or Butachlor after 1 or 2 days of sowing to control weeds.
