This scheme has been started by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Under this scheme, subsidy is being provided to the farmers of the state for the construction of hi-tech nurseries. What is Hitech Nursery?

Before knowing about Hitech Nursery Scheme it is necessary to know about Hitech Nursery.

  • In Hi-Tech Nursery, healthy plants are prepared in plastic trays by automatic seeder machine.

  • For better root development, cocopit, vermiculite and perlite are used for sowing the seeds.

  • In this nursery the temperature is regulated as per the requirement of the plants.

What is the purpose of Hi-Tech Nursery Scheme?

  • Under Hitech Nursery Scheme, applicants are given subsidy for the construction of Hitech Nursery.

  • All the farmers, private entrepreneurs and public sector organizations of the state of Uttar Pradesh can take advantage of this scheme.

  • Under this scheme, up to 50 percent subsidy will be given to the applicants. Of the total amount of subsidy, 60 percent will be given by the central government and 40 percent by the state government.

  • Each applicant will be given subsidy up to a maximum of Rs 40 lakh.

In which districts of Uttar Pradesh is the Hi-Tech Nursery Scheme implemented?

  • This scheme has been implemented in total 45 districts of Uttar Pradesh. In which Saharanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Agra, Mathura, Mainpuri, Etawah, Kannauj, Lucknow, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Sultanpur, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Basti, Ballia, Kushinagar, Sant Kabirnagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur, Farrukhabad, Sonbhadra, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Hathras, Kanpur Nagar, Ayodhya, Jhansi, Bareilly, Moradabad, Sitapur, Banda, Barabanki, Bulandshahr, Muzaffar Nagar, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Chitrakoot and Lalitpur are included.

Hitech Nursery Scheme Terms and Conditions

  • Hi-tech nursery can be established in 1 to 4 hectare area.

  • Under this, the cost per unit has been fixed at Rs 100 lakh. For this, subsidy will be given to each applicant up to a maximum of Rs 40 lakh.

  • Small nursery can be established in an area up to 1 hectare. It costs Rs 15 lakh per unit. For this, subsidy will be given to each applicant up to a maximum of Rs 7.5 lakh.

  • In which there is a provision of 100 percent subsidy for the public sector and 50 percent for the private sector.

Process to apply for Hitech Nursery Scheme

  • To take advantage of this scheme, applicants have to first register on the official website of the Agriculture Department.

  • After this, the project of nursery will be prepared and deposited in the bank for taking loan.

  • To get the subsidy, it is necessary to take the approval of the bank to take a loan.

  • After this applicants have to prepare a nursery.

  • The nursery will be examined and geo-tagging by the Joint Inspection Committee of the department.

  • On passing the test, you will be approved for subsidy up to Rs 40 lakh.

  • The subsidy amount will be deposited in the account of the bank from which you have taken the loan.
