Know what is special for farmers in Madhya Pradesh's Agriculture Budget 2020-2021?
The Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh has presented the first budget of its fourth term on March 2, 2021. Many big announcements have been made for the farmers in the presented budget. A provision of Rs 35 thousand 353 crore has been introduced for agriculture and allied sectors in the MP budget 2020-2021.
The MP government has announced to implement the Chief Minister Fasal Urjan Sahayata Yojana for the purchase of food grains. A provision of Rs 2,000 crore has been fixed for this scheme. Along with this, it has been announced to give Rs 4,000 annually to the farmers of the state under the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana. A provision of Rs 3 thousand 200 crore has been introduced for this scheme. Under this scheme, about 57,50,000 farmers have been given an installment of Rs 2,000 so far. About Rs 400 crore will be paid to the farmers in the year 2020-2021.
25 lakh farmers of the state are being given loan facility on Kisan Credit Card for agricultural works. Farmers can get loan from cooperative banks at zero interest rate. A provision of Rs 1,000 crore has been announced for this scheme, increasing the budget by 4 times.
