Major diseases affecting cotton crop
There is a high incidence of diseases on the cotton crop. For good yield of cotton, it is necessary to keep the crop disease free. By adopting the measures given in this post, you can save the cotton crop from many diseases and get more yield.

Root rot disease: In this disease caused by mildew, the roots of plants start rotting and the plants start drying up. To avoid this disease , treat the seed with Carbendazim 2 grams per kilogram. Its effect can also be reduced by drenching by dissolving 3 grams of Dithane M45 in water on disease-affected plants .

Plant blight disease: It is also known as uprooting disease or wilting disease. Plants affected by this disease suddenly wither and dry up gradually and after seeding they start drying up. This leads to a reduction in production. To avoid this disease, seed should be treated with Carbandazim and 10 kg per acre of zinc sulphate should be added while preparing the field.

Root Gland Disease: In this disease the growth of the roots of plants stops and small knots start forming in the roots. This hinders the growth of the plants and leaves the plants small. To avoid this disease , spray 18 kg Carbofuran 3G per acre of land.

Leaf curl disease: This is a viral disease, which is spread on other plants by white fly. The disease first appears on the upper soft leaves of cotton. The leaves affected by the disease curl upwards or downwards. Plants affected by the disease stop growing and fall off. Diseased plants should be destroyed to prevent the spread of this disease. For the control of disease-carrying pest, application of Acetamiprid 40 ml per acre should be done.
