From here you can get information about ways to control diseases and pests of marigold plants. Let us get to know in detail about this topic.
-
Wet rot disease: This disease mainly affects small nursery plants. The stems of plants affected by this disease turn black and start rotting. To protect the plants from this disease, before sowing, treat the seed with Thiram at 3 grams per kg.
-
Powdery mildew disease: This disease is also known as powdery mildew. A white powdery coating appears on the stems, leaves and flowers of the plants affected by this disease. As the disease progresses, the buds do not bloom. To protect the plants from this disease, spray 1 ml Hexaconazole 5% or 3 grams Sulfur 80 percent WP. If required, take 2 to 3 sprays at an interval of 12 to 15 days.
-
Whitefly: This insect damages the plants by sucking the sap of the leaves. Due to which the leaves start shrinking. After some time the leaves turn red and start falling. As the outbreak progresses, plant growth stops. For white flies, place 4 to 6 pheromone traps in the ground. To get rid of white flies, mix 50 ml country hawk in 150 liters of water and spray it on the plants. (This quantity is per acre of farmland.)
