Paddy: Control fungal diseases in this way

Paddy plants are prone to various fungal diseases. In which Kandwa disease, brown spot disease, stem rot disease, gust disease, foliar blight disease, etc. The outbreak of these diseases can reduce the yield of paddy by 30 to 60 percent. In such a situation, it is necessary to protect the paddy crop from these diseases in time. Some major fungal diseases occurring in paddy crop

Kandva disease: This disease is also known as false smut disease. Due to this disease, rice grains turn into yellow nodules in the affected plants. The smut ball bursts and turns orange as the growth of the fungus accelerates. After some time the earrings become yellow-green or greenish-black. To avoid this disease, treat with Carbendazim 50% WP @ 2 grams per kilogram of seed. This drug is available in the market under the name of Bavistin.
Brown spot disease: The outbreak of this disease can occur at any stage of the crop. The leaves of plants affected by this disease turn yellow or orange-yellow in color. As the disease progresses, these spots start appearing brown like rust. The upper parts of the leaves begin to discolor, which gradually spreads to the lower part of the leaves. The inflorescences remain small. Most of the inflorescences are sterile or partially filled. To avoid this disease, take spray of 2 ml Hexonazole 4% + Zeeneb 68% WP per liter of water. This medicine is available in the market under the name Indofil Avatar.
Juffy disease: This disease is also known as blast disease. The disease usually occurs about 30 to 40 days after transplanting in the main field. At the beginning of this disease, gray spots appear on the leaves of the plants. As the disease progresses, the size of the spots increases and the spots mix together and spread over the entire leaves. This makes the leaves look like burnt. After some time the plants become weak and start breaking. To protect the plants from this disease, treat the seed with 2 gm Thiram per kg of seed. If symptoms of this disease are seen in standing crop, sprinkle 200 ml Carbendazim in 200 liters of water per acre of land.
Stem rot disease: The outbreak of this disease is more at the time of flowering. Due to this weeping, the stem of the plants starts rotting. Irregularly shaped spots of gray (brown) color appear on the leaves. The edges of these spots are dark red or dark brown. To control stem rot, take spray of 2 ml Hexonazole 4% + Zeeneb 68% WP per liter of water. This medicine is available in the market under the name Indofil Avatar.
Foliar blight disease: The lower part of the plants affected by this disease starts rotting. To protect the plants from this disease, before sowing, treat the seed with Trichoderma 4 grams per kilogram.
