White Braid: The infestation of this pest causes great damage to the crop. They feed on plants, which causes the plants to dry up. To avoid this, before sowing, 25 kg phorate should be sprayed per hectare of the field.

Leaf miner: It eats the green part of the leaves causing white stripes on the leaves. This pest can be got rid of by spraying 1 liter of water mixed with 1 ml imidachlorpid.

Tikka disease: This disease causes maximum damage to the crop. In this disease, spots appear on the leaves. Later the leaves fall and the crop yield is reduced. To avoid this disease, 2 kg of Dithane M-45 mixed in 1000 liters of water should be sprayed per hectare of land.

Rosette Disease: Due to the effect of this disease, the growth of plants stops. To prevent the spread of this disease, spraying should be done by mixing 1 ml imidachlorpid in 3 liters of water.
