Types of Polyhouses
There are mainly 3 types of polyhouses.

Ordinary Polyhouse: It is also called as low cost polyhouse. In this, artificial environment is not created by the machines.

Medium cost polyhouse: In this, cold and heat are controlled inside the polyhouse according to the requirement of the plants by simple equipment.

High cost polyhouse: In this, temperature, humidity, light, ventilation etc. are controlled as per the requirement of the plants. In this we can cultivate any vegetables we want in any season.
How to build a polyhouse?

To build a polyhouse, a steel structure is first prepared.

The steel structure is covered with a polythene sheet of 200 micron thickness transparent and resistant to ultraviolet rays.

A polyhouse once prepared can be successfully cultivated for at least 10 years.

However, due to strong winds and sunlight, the plastic sheet starts getting damaged. Therefore, the plastic sheet should be changed every 2 to 3 years.

At least 1000 square meters of land should be there for the construction of polyhouse.

Small farmers can also build a polyhouse in 500 square meters of land.

The cost of construction of a polyhouse in 1000 square meters of land is about 10 lakh rupees.

The cost of building a polyhouse in a large area starts decreasing. For example, if it is constructed in an area of 4000 square meters, then it costs about 35 lakh rupees.
