Precise measures to save mango fruits from bursting

• Lack of proper management of orchards: Many times farmers do not manage the mango orchards properly. Many farmers look after the orchards only from the time the trees are visible till the fruits are plucked. Due to lack of proper care for many months, the trees do not get proper nutrients. As a result, the fruits start bursting.

• Change in temperature: There may be a problem of fruit cracking in hot and dry weather. Along with this, the difference in temperature between day and night is also one of the main reasons for fruit cracking. Apart from this, the problem of bursting of fruits also starts due to heavy rains after prolonged drought.

• Nutrients in unbalanced amount: Due to lack of nutrients or using nutrients in unbalanced amounts, fruits also start bursting.

• Boron deficiency: The problem of fruits also starts due to the deficiency of boron. Fill up on boron to prevent the fruit from bursting.

Ways to prevent fruit from cracking

• Maintenance of orchards: Clean the gardens regularly. Along with this, proper arrangements should also be made for water management.

• Irrigation: Do not let the soil moisture decrease from the time of maturity till the fruits are ripe. Irrigate at regular intervals.

• Supply of nutrients: For the supply of boron, sprinkle 20 to 22 grams of countryside borosol per liter of water.

• Chemical Method:

• To prevent fruit bursting, 50 grams of NAA in 200 liters of water. Spray with hormone (naphthalene acetic acid).

• Spraying of Langra and Dussehri variety of trees by mixing 2 grams 2-4 D in 100 liters of water. If necessary, this drug can be re-sprayed at 15 days interval.

• Apart from this, when the fruit becomes equal to a pea grain, sprinkle 2 grams of borax per liter of water.

• Some other methods: Planting windproof trees around the orchard and mulching near the trees also reduces the problem of fruit burst.

• Use a sticker with a spray of drugs.
