Beet rot disease: Small plants are more prone to this disease. The germination of the seed is hindered due to this disease. Even if the seeds germinate, small black spots appear on the leaves and stems of the plants. The stem and root of the plants start rotting. To protect the plants from this disease, treat the seed with 2 gm Trichoderma viridi or 3 gm Carbendazim 50% per kg seed. Prepare a solution by mixing 100 grams of Trichoderma in 10 liters of water. Soak the roots in this solution for 10 minutes before transplanting the plants in the main field.

Fruit rot disease: Brown circular spots appear on the leaves of affected plants. Brown, soft, wet and shriveled spots appear on the fruits of brinjal. After some time, white colored fungus starts appearing on the rotten part of the fruit. The spots increase in size and the flowers turn black and dry up. Cut and destroy the disease-affected leaves, fruits and flowers. To save the plants from this disease, mix 25-30 grams of country fullstop in 15 liters of water and spray it. Apart from this, you can also spray by adding 2 grams of Mancozeb or Zineb per liter of water.
