Some improved varieties of peas

Pant Matar 155: It is one of the hybrid varieties of peas. The first harvesting of green beans can be done about 50 to 60 days after sowing the seeds. The incidence of powdery mildew disease and pod borer insect is less in this variety of plants. If cultivated per acre of field, the yield is up to 6 tonnes.
Azad Matar 1: It is included in the high yielding varieties. The pods of this variety of plants are up to 10 cm long. Each pod contains 6 to 8 grains. The effect of bacterial diseases on this type of plants is less. First harvesting of pods can be done 55 days after sowing of seeds. A yield of about 3.2 tonnes can be obtained per acre of farmland.
Lincoln : This variety is suitable for cultivation of peas in hilly areas. The pods of this variety are dark green in color and long. Each pod contains 8 to 10 grains. The taste of its grains is sweet. The first pods can be harvested about 80 to 90 days after sowing the seeds.
Kashi early: The height of this variety of plants is 2 feet. The incidence of bacterial diseases is less in this variety of plants. The first pods can be harvested about 50 days after sowing the seeds. If cultivated per acre of field, the yield is about 4 tonnes.
