• Adult insects lay eggs on the leaves of plants.

• After some time larvae emerge from the eggs which bore holes in the stems of the plants.

• When the plants come to fruition, these pests also pierce the fruits and destroy the crop by eating the fruits from inside.

• The entry and exit of the fruit are closed by dry feces.

• Affected fruits become crooked in shape.

• Infestation of pests hinders the growth of plants.

• If possible, collect and destroy insect eggs.

• Do not let weeds grow in the field.

• Remove the affected leaves, twigs and fruits and destroy them outside the field. If severe infestation occurs, uproot the entire plant and destroy it.

• To attract and catch these moths, apply 4-6 pheromone traps per acre.

• On first appearance of symptoms, 150 ml Lambda- Cylonthrin 4.9 CS per acre in 200 to 250 liters of water or Country Cutter 5-10 ml per 15 liters of water or Flubendamide 480 SC at 5 ml per 15 liters of water. Mixing and spraying gets rid of these pests.

• At the time of flowering, spray 15 liters of water with 7-8 ml Coragen 18.5 percent SC.

• Avoid the use of insecticides after the plants bear fruit.

• If you are using insecticides after the appearance of fruits, then do not pluck the fruits for 5-6 days after spraying the drugs.
