Tomato: Control leaf miner pest in this way

Leaf miners are very small in size. Adult insects are pale yellow in colour. Due to its rapid spread, these pests cause heavy damage to the crop in a short time. Symptoms of Leaf Miner Insect Infestation

  • These pests eat away the green matter of tomato leaves.

  • Curved tunnel ridges appear on the affected leaves.

  • White stripes appear on the leaves.

  • After some time the leaves become weak and start falling.

  • The growth of plants is hindered as the outbreak progresses.

How to control leaf miner pest?

  • Destroy the affected parts of the plants. This can prevent the pest from spreading.

  • For complete control of the pest, spray 150 liters of water per acre of land by mixing 50 ml country cutter.

  • Also spray with imidacloprid 1 ml per liter of water.
