Initial diagnosis:

Yellowing and wilting of leaves. Drying of the entire crown.

Symptoms:

Affected canes show lodging in the field. Damages can be seen more in ratoon crops when compared to plant crops.

Damage type:

Affected canes come off easily when pulled. Cause extensive damage to the roots and base of the shoot.
