Potassium Deficiency

Plant parts affected
Lower leaves
Initial diagnosis:
The deficient crop appears as if wilted in dry and hot weather conditions. Marginal scorching of older leaves is a typical symptom of potassium deficiency.
Symptoms:
Symptoms develop as a yellow-brown marginal and interveinal chlorosis. As the symptoms advance, necrosis starts from the leaf margins. Eventually leaves become necrotic and die.
Damage type:
The overall growth of deficient plants is reduced. Internodes become shorter. The younger leaves appear smaller.
